SUPER*NOVA_Spectrum

 

SUPER*NOVA_StudioVonTrevellinBER is a sculptural drinking water fountain that brings water, minerals and light into a transparent vertical structure.

The work is formed by concentric borosilicate glass cylinders, creating an open internal architecture through which water and light interact. Its transparency allows the mineral composition to remain visible, while the lamp illuminates the water and crystals from within the structure.

For this composition, gold nuggets and a white raw diamond are placed together with aquamarine, white quartz, rose quartz and amethyst. The arrangement creates a distinct mineral landscape within the fountain, where different colours, textures and degrees of transparency become part of the visual experience.

As light passes through the water, glass and minerals, optical phenomena emerge and shift with the changing conditions inside the fountain. The work is experienced through both its material presence and the continuous movement of light through water.

SUPER*NOVA_StudioVonTrevellin approaches the fountain as a meeting point between elemental materials and perception, allowing water to become visible not only as something to drink, but as a medium through which light, mineral and space are brought into relation.
