NOVA*Jungbrunnen is a drinking water fountain that brings water, mineral, light and human gathering into relation with its surroundings.

Installed at a forest protection house in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the fountain was situated within a place dedicated to the care and protection of the local forest. Its vertical form creates a point of gathering, inviting visitors to pause, drink and become attentive to the water and the surrounding environment.

Water passes through the fountain and its mineral composition before becoming available for drinking. Light moving through the water and glass creates shifting optical phenomena, bringing the physical qualities of the water into perception.

The fountain was activated through a Music Water Activation by Shiomi & Partner, bringing sound and the movement of water into the experience of the site.

NOVA*Jungbrunnen considers the fountain as both a functional object and a space for encounter, connecting water with the landscape and the people gathered around it.
